Choral Fest Costa Rica for Peace, also known in Spanish as Festival Internacional de Coros Costa Rica por la Paz, is a non-competitive international choral festival held in Costa Rica.
The festival brings together choirs, conductors, singers, cultural institutions, communities and audiences through concerts, workshops, cultural exchange, community experiences and shared songs dedicated to peace.
2. 2027 Festival Dates
The 2027 edition is scheduled for June 23–27, 2027.
Program details, venues, schedules, activities and artistic elements may be adjusted when necessary for logistical, artistic, institutional, weather-related, technical, safety or force majeure reasons.

4. Eligibility and Participation
The festival welcomes different types of choirs and vocal ensembles. Participation is subject to review, availability, artistic planning, logistics and confirmation by the organization.

5. Non-Competitive Nature
Choral Fest Costa Rica for Peace does not operate as a contest and does not rank choirs against one another. The focus is artistic sharing, cultural exchange, collective singing and human connection.
6. Application and Confirmation
The official participation flow is:
Apply → Step 2: Choir Information for Participation Proposal → Written Proposal + Base Program 2027 → Confirmation.
Submitting information begins the review process. It does not constitute confirmation.
7. Program, Venues and Schedule Changes
The organization may modify venues, times, rehearsal schedules, workshop formats, choir order, artistic activities, community experiences and logistical arrangements when necessary to protect quality, safety, timing or the festival mission.
8. Repertoire and Artistic Requirements
Choirs may be asked to provide repertoire titles, composers, arrangers, duration and performance needs. Artistic guidance may also include shared repertoire or Common Songs.
Each choir is responsible for ensuring that it has the right to perform its selected repertoire and for complying with applicable copyright or licensing requirements.
9. Fees, Packages, Costs and Logistics
This Terms page does not define the financial package for a choir. General package conditions, responsibilities, inclusions and exclusions must be verified in Base Program 2027.
Choir-specific fees, deposits, payment conditions, cancellation conditions and logistical responsibilities are governed by the written proposal or agreement issued to the delegation.
10. Travel Documents, Visas and Insurance
Each participant and delegation is responsible for verifying and obtaining required passports, visas, permits, insurance and immigration or health-related requirements.
The organization may provide supporting information when appropriate but cannot guarantee visas, entry permits or immigration decisions.
11. Minors and Youth Participants
Choirs traveling with minors are responsible for the required parental permissions, travel authorizations, supervision, emergency contacts and legal documents.
Parents, guardians, schools, institutions, directors and official chaperones retain their own legal and supervisory responsibilities.
12. Conduct and Respect
Participants are expected to act with respect, responsibility and cultural sensitivity. Harassment, violence, abuse, threats, hate speech, discriminatory conduct, unsafe behavior or damage to property may result in removal from activities, subject to the circumstances and applicable rules.
13. Health, Safety and Personal Responsibility
Participants remain responsible for their own health, belongings, personal needs and compliance with instructions from festival organizers, venues, transportation providers and local authorities.
14. Photography, Video, Audio and Media
Festival activities may be photographed or recorded for documentation, communication, educational, historical, archival, press and promotional purposes.
Where permissions are required, including for minors, the appropriate participant, parent, guardian, choir or institution is responsible for ensuring that those permissions are in place.

15. Personal Data and Communications
Personal information submitted through forms or communications may be used for legitimate festival-related purposes such as responding to inquiries, reviewing applications, coordinating participation and maintaining administrative records.

16. Website, App and Digital Content
The website and festival app may provide information about the festival, program, choirs, directors, venues, schedules, maps, contact details and related resources.
Reasonable efforts are made to keep information updated, but errors, delays, changes or omissions may occur. Important travel, payment or participation decisions should be verified with the organization.
17. Intellectual Property
Festival names, texts, designs, logos, images, videos, documents and digital materials may be protected by intellectual property rights. Unauthorized commercial use or reproduction is not permitted without written permission.
18. Third-Party Links and Services
The website may link to external websites and services. Choral Fest Costa Rica for Peace is not responsible for the content, policies, security, pricing, availability or practices of independent third parties.
19. Cancellations, Changes and Force Majeure
The organization may cancel, postpone, relocate, modify or adjust activities because of circumstances beyond reasonable control, including weather, natural disasters, health emergencies, government restrictions, venue changes, transportation disruptions, safety concerns, technical problems or institutional decisions.
Any refund, credit, substitution or cancellation arrangement must be determined from Base Program 2027 and the choir's written proposal or agreement.
20. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the organization and its collaborators are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from circumstances beyond their reasonable control, third-party services or travel disruptions.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude rights or responsibilities that cannot legally be excluded.
21. Updates to These Terms
These Terms and Conditions may be updated when necessary. The current version will be published on the official website with its latest update date.
22. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are intended to be interpreted according to the laws of Costa Rica unless another written agreement states otherwise.
