From June 23 to 27, 2027, choirs from different countries will gather in Costa Rica to sing for peace, take part in concerts and workshops, share cultures and experience a non-competitive choral gathering.

Over five days, participating choirs will share concerts, workshops, community experiences, common repertoire and cultural exchange within a non-competitive setting.

Planning the journey
What choir directors should plan before traveling to Costa Rica
Festival participation and international travel are connected, but they are not the same task. Choral Fest coordinates the official festival experience and can support local arrangements in Costa Rica, while each delegation normally arranges its own international transportation to and from the country.
Local accommodation
Lodging during the official festival dates is organized through the participation package. Additional nights can be requested subject to availability and additional cost.
Transportation in Costa Rica
Shared local transportation during the official program is coordinated as part of the festival experience so choirs can move between lodging, concerts, workshops and scheduled activities.
International airfare
Each delegation normally books its own international flights. Confirm the official dates, recommended arrival window and baggage needs before making major non-refundable purchases.

Own repertoire
International choirs prepare a representative program of approximately 30 minutes.
A work from your home country
Each choir must include at least one work that represents the culture and musical identity of its country.
A work related to peace
Each choir must include a work connected to peace, coexistence or human connection.
Common songs
Every choir prepares the shared works selected for collective singing during the festival closing.
Minimum ensemble size
Participating choirs must include a minimum of 16 singers, allowing each ensemble to offer a balanced and meaningful choral presence throughout the festival's different venues and experiences.
Accompaniment
Keyboard availability is confirmed only for official venues where it is specifically included in the festival program. School performances are presented a cappella, creating a direct encounter with the natural harmony, expressive richness and shared power of the human voice.
Participation package
Participation is organized through a coordinated package designed to support the delegation throughout the official festival dates.
