What your choir can experience
Many choirs are looking for more than another performance date. Directors want their singers to grow, connect and return home with something deeper than photographs and applause.
This festival was created for ensembles that want their music to matter beyond the stage.
International concerts
Perform in organized festival concerts where your choir can share its sound, identity and message with new audiences.
For many ensembles, the challenge is not only finding a place to sing. It is finding a place where the performance feels meaningful. At Choral Fest Costa Rica for Peace, concerts are designed as moments of encounter, where music becomes a way to connect with people, cultures and communities.
Human experience
Live a meaningful journey that strengthens listening, coexistence and community-building.
Many choir trips focus on schedules, buses and performances. This festival seeks something deeper: an experience that helps singers feel more united, more aware and more connected to the purpose of singing together. It is a space where the choir can grow not only musically, but also as a human group.
Cultural exchange
Meet choirs from different countries, backgrounds and human realities.
A choir can rehearse for months and still feel disconnected from the wider world. Through cultural exchange, singers discover that their voice belongs to something larger. They listen to other traditions, share their own story and experience the beauty of being part of an international choral community.
Workshops and learning
Participate in pedagogical moments and collective rehearsals that enrich the musical and personal experience of the group.
Directors often look for experiences that motivate their singers and renew the energy of the ensemble. Workshops and shared learning spaces can help the choir listen better, understand its role more deeply and return home with new inspiration for the work ahead.
Who can participate?
We welcome choral ensembles of different characteristics and backgrounds, including:
- Mixed adult choirs
- Men’s choirs
- Women’s choirs
- Children’s and youth choirs
- School choirs
- University choirs
- Community choirs
- Church choirs
- Chamber ensembles
A minimum of 16 participants is recommended to facilitate logistics and the group experience.

Repertoire and artistic participation
Each choir may present a musical program of approximately 15 to 30 minutes, preferably with repertoire that represents its country or artistic identity.
The inclusion of a piece connected to peace, hope or coexistence is especially valued. In some spaces, depending on the concert context, sacred music or reflective works may also be appropriate.
The festival may also include common songs to be performed jointly by all participating choirs.
What can participation in the festival include?
The experience is designed so each choir can focus on what matters most: singing, sharing and enjoying the process.
Participation may include:
- Concert organization and logistics
- Lodging in double or triple occupancy, depending on the selected modality
- Internal transportation
- Meals according to the selected program
- Rehearsals and shared activities
- Organizational support
- Cultural and integration activities
Final participation details may vary according to the confirmed plan for each ensemble.
