For Choir Directors
Lead your choir into an experience that goes beyond performance.
Bringing a choir to an international festival is a meaningful decision.
A director does not only choose a destination. A director carries the responsibility of the music, the singers, the families, the logistics and the emotional meaning of the journey.
Choral Fest Costa Rica for Peace was created for directors who want their choirs to sing with excellence, connect with other cultures and live a human experience rooted in music, community and peace.
June 23–27, 2027 · Costa Rica · Non-competitive international choral festival
You are not only planning a trip
When a choir travels, the director is often thinking about many questions at the same time:
Will the experience be safe and organized? Will the singers grow musically? Will families understand the value of the journey? Will the choir return home more united? Will this trip become more than a performance schedule?
These questions matter.
That is why Choral Fest Costa Rica for Peace seeks to offer clarity, structure and purpose from the first conversation.
A festival designed for meaningful choral leadership
This festival is not built around competition, rankings or medals.
It is built around encounter.
For choir directors, this means the experience is centered on artistic sharing, cultural exchange, learning and the human values that choral music can teach: listening, discipline, respect, presence and community.
Here, your choir is invited to perform, but also to connect. To sing, but also to listen. To travel, but also to grow.
Why directors choose Choral Fest Costa Rica for Peace
A non-competitive environment
The festival allows choirs to participate without the pressure of competing for awards. This helps singers focus on musical growth, shared purpose and the joy of encounter.
A clear participation process
Directors can begin with a participation request, receive guidance from the organization and evaluate costs, logistics and next steps before confirming participation.
A meaningful destination
Costa Rica offers a natural connection to the message of the festival. Its identity of peace, hospitality and cultural warmth gives the journey a context that goes beyond tourism.
A human experience for singers
The festival helps singers understand that choral music is more than sound. It is a way of belonging, cooperating and building something beautiful together.
A bridge between cultures
Directors and choirs meet ensembles from different countries, share repertoire, discover new perspectives and become part of an international choral community.

The director’s role in this experience
A director shapes more than musical sound.
A director shapes how singers listen, how they relate to one another, how they prepare, how they travel and how they understand the meaning of the music they carry.
At Choral Fest Costa Rica for Peace, directors are invited to lead their choirs into an experience where artistry and humanity meet.
The goal is not only that the choir sings well. The goal is that the choir returns home with a stronger sense of identity, unity and purpose.

A journey that can strengthen your choir
Some choir trips are remembered because of the place visited.
Others are remembered because they changed the way the group understood itself.
Choral Fest Costa Rica for Peace seeks to offer that second kind of journey: an experience that can strengthen the choir’s identity, deepen connection among singers and give new meaning to the act of singing together.
When singers stand in another country and realize that their voices can touch a community, something changes.
They do not only perform. They discover why their voice matters.
Main festival or Sing with Purpose in Costa Rica
Directors have two possible paths:
Main festival in June
For choirs that wish to participate in the official Choral Fest Costa Rica for Peace dates, the main festival offers concerts, workshops, cultural exchange and shared experiences with other ensembles.
Sing with Purpose in Costa Rica
For choirs that cannot travel during the official dates, or for ensembles that want a customized experience at another time of the year, Sing with Purpose in Costa Rica offers a personalized choral journey designed around the group’s schedule, interests and goals.
